IT Project Manager – Application / E-Invoicing (Banking Domain)Job Summary
Responsible for managing end-to-end e-Invoicing application projects within a banking environment, covering requirements, integration, development, testing, implementation and post-production support. The role coordinates business, technology, finance/tax, compliance, vendors and external parties to ensure successful delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full project lifecycle for e-Invoicing applications and related banking systems.
- Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, milestones and resource requirements.
- Gather and analyse business requirements for e-Invoicing solutions.
- Work closely with Finance, Tax, Operations, Compliance, Business, IT and Application teams.
- Coordinate integration between e-Invoicing applications and:
- Core Banking systems
- ERP / Finance systems
- Billing and accounting applications
- Payment systems
- Customer / Corporate Banking platforms
- API / middleware platforms
- Government e-Invoicing platforms
- Manage API, interface and data-mapping requirements between internal applications and external e-Invoicing platforms.
- Coordinate application development, configuration, enhancement and system integration activities.
- Ensure e-Invoice data, transaction flows and business rules are correctly implemented.
- Manage SIT, UAT, regression testing, integration testing and production deployment.
- Coordinate defect management, issue resolution and remediation activities.
- Manage project risks, issues, dependencies, assumptions and change requests.
- Coordinate vendors, system integrators and third-party technology providers.
- Prepare project status reports, steering committee presentations and management updates.
- Monitor project progress against agreed timelines, budget and quality objectives.
- Ensure application changes comply with the bank's IT governance, security, risk and compliance requirements.
- Coordinate production implementation, cutover, rollback and post-implementation support.
- Manage hypercare activities and ensure smooth transition to BAU/Application Support teams.
- Maintain project documentation including BRD, functional specifications, project plans, RAID logs, test plans and implementation documentation.
E-Invoicing Knowledge
Candidates should ideally have experience with:
- E-Invoice lifecycle and processing
- Invoice creation, validation and submission
- Invoice status management
- Invoice cancellation / rejection / correction
- Credit and debit notes
- XML / JSON invoice formats
- API integration
- Data mapping and transformation
- Tax / finance system integration
- B2B / B2C / B2G transaction flows
- E-Invoice reconciliation
- Integration with government or third-party e-Invoicing platforms
Banking Experience
Experience working on banking applications and financial systems is highly preferred, particularly projects involving:

- Regulatory / Tax Reporting
- API and system integration
Required Skills
- 5–10+ years of IT Project Management experience.
- Strong experience managing application implementation / integration projects.
- Previous experience in banking or financial services.
- Experience with e-Invoicing, taxation systems or financial applications.
- Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile and/or Waterfall methodologies.
- Good understanding of APIs, web services, middleware and application integration.
- Strong stakeholder, vendor and project governance management.
- Excellent communication, presentation and documentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple technical and business teams simultaneously.

Pay: RM12,475.08 - RM17,872.81 per month
