Join Global Radiant Machine Engineering (M) Sdn. Bhd. and be part of a team delivering Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) and Open Cut infrastructure projects across Malaysia. We are looking for a dedicated Site Supervisor to oversee daily site operations, coordinate site activities, and ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and according to schedule.

This is a site-based position that requires working closely with project teams, subcontractors, and workers to ensure the successful execution of HDD and Open Cut projects.

Position Title: Site Supervisor (HDD & Open Cut)

Department: Project / Operations

Reporting To: Project Engineer / Project Manager

Employment Type: Full-Time

Location: Puchong, Selangor / Project Sites

Key Responsibilities1. Site Supervision & Execution

• Supervise and coordinate daily HDD and Open Cut construction activities.
• Ensure works are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and project requirements.
• Monitor site progress and ensure project milestones are achieved within schedule.
• Coordinate manpower, machinery, materials, and subcontractors on site.

2. HDD & Open Cut Operations

• Monitor HDD drilling activities, pilot boring, reaming, and cable/pipe installation works.
• Supervise trenching, excavation, cable laying, duct installation, backfilling, and reinstatement works for Open Cut projects.
• Ensure proper utilization of machinery, equipment, and resources.
• Identify and resolve site operational issues to minimize delays and disruptions.

3. Workforce & Site Coordination

• Lead and supervise site workers, operators, and subcontractors.
• Assign daily tasks and monitor work performance.
• Ensure workers comply with project requirements, work procedures, and site instructions.
• Coordinate daily site activities with Project Engineers and Project Managers.

4. Quality Control

• Monitor workmanship and ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards.
• Conduct routine inspections on completed works.
• Ensure defects and non-conformance issues are rectified promptly.
• Assist in inspections, testing, and project handover activities.

5. Safety & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with company safety policies, site regulations, and client requirements.
• Conduct toolbox meetings and daily safety briefings.
• Monitor work activities to ensure safe working practices are followed at all times.
• Report incidents, hazards, near misses, and unsafe conditions immediately.

6. Documentation & Reporting

• Prepare daily site reports and progress updates.
• Record manpower attendance, machinery utilization, and site activities.
• Maintain site records, permits, inspection reports, and related documentation.
• Report site progress, delays, and operational issues to the Project Engineer or Project Manager.

7. Site Logistics & Material Control

• Monitor material deliveries, usage, and stock levels on site.
• Ensure machinery, tools, and equipment are properly maintained and safeguarded.
• Coordinate site logistics to support project activities and avoid delays.

8. Ad-Hoc Duties

• Perform any other duties assigned by Management or immediate superior from time to time.

Requirements

• Minimum Certificate, Diploma, or equivalent qualification.
• Experience in HDD, Open Cut, Autocad, underground utilities, cable laying, civil, infrastructure, or construction projects is preferred.
• Able to read and understand construction drawings and project specifications.
• Strong leadership, communication, and coordination skills.
• Willing to travel and work at project sites throughout Malaysia.
• Willing to work outstation when required by project operations.
• Able to work closely with site teams and supervise foreign workers.
• Possess a valid driving licence.
