Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Analyze customer drawings, specifications, and functional requirements to determine manufacturing feasibility.
• Identify and recommend the most cost-effective manufacturing processes.
• Prepare detailed cost breakdowns, including material costs, machining cycle time, tooling and fixtures, testing, and packaging.
• Collaborate with Production and Engineering teams to validate manufacturability and optimize processes.
• Propose Design for Manufacturing (DFM) improvements to reduce cost and enhance machining efficiency.
• Work closely with cross-functional departments such as Sheet Metal Fabrication, Assembly, Purchasing, and Sales to ensure alignment on project requirements.
• Support quotation preparation and provide technical clarification to customers when required.

Job Requirements

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.

Experience:

• Minimum 5 years of working experience in the Metal and Machinery Manufacturing industry.
• Experience in cost estimation, CNC machining, and fabrication processes is an added advantage.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Strong knowledge of CNC machining and cutting technologies.
• Good understanding of material science and material selection.
• Familiar with tooling, fixtures, and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to liaise with customers and internal departments.
