Job Description:
We are looking for a Food Science Intern to support our operations in food quality, safety, and product development within our catering business. This internship offers valuable hands-on experience for students who are interested in food production, quality assurance, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in monitoring food preparation and production processes to ensure quality standards
- Support food safety and hygiene practices in kitchen and production areas
- Help maintain documentation for HACCP, GMP, and Halal compliance
- Assist in quality checks for raw materials, ingredients, and finished products
- Monitor food storage conditions, temperature records, and stock rotation
- Support internal audits and inspections
- Assist in product testing, standardization, and improvement of recipes or processes
- Coordinate with suppliers on food quality and compliance matters
- Perform other administrative and operational tasks related to food science and quality assurance as assigned
Requirements:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed Diploma/Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Nutrition, Halal Management, or related field
- Basic understanding of food safety standards and quality control processes
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- Detail-oriented, responsible, and willing to learn
- Able to work independently and in a team
- Internship placement for a minimum of 3 months preferred
