Job Purpose
To assist the Quality Control Department in ensuring that products, materials, and processes meet the company’s quality standards and customer requirements before delivery or production use.
Roles & Responsibilities1. Product Quality Inspection
- Assist in conducting quality inspections for incoming materials, in-process items, and finished goods.
- Ensure products comply with company specifications, standards, and quality requirements.
- Identify defects, damages, or non-conforming products.
2. QC Inspection & Documentation
- Assist in recording inspection results in QC forms, reports, or company systems.
- Prepare daily or weekly inspection reports.
- Maintain and update quality control records and documentation.
3. Incoming & Outgoing Inspection
- Assist in inspecting incoming goods/materials received from suppliers.
- Support outgoing inspection to ensure products meet quality and quantity requirements before delivery to customers.
4. Product Testing
- Assist in performing basic product testing according to company SOPs and quality standards.
- Support the use of measuring tools, inspection checklists, or testing equipment when required.
5. Non-Conformance Monitoring
- Report quality issues or defects to the QC Executive or Supervisor.
- Assist in segregating defective or rejected items.
- Support corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for quality improvement.
6. SOP Compliance & Safety
- Ensure compliance with company SOPs, quality procedures, safety regulations, and workplace standards (e.g., 5S, GMP where applicable).
- Assist during internal quality audits when necessary.
7. Coordination & Communication
- Coordinate with warehouse, production, purchasing, and store departments regarding quality-related matters.
- Follow up on rejected items, replacement status, or rework processes.
8. General Administrative Support
- Perform other duties assigned by the QC Supervisor/Manager.
- Support continuous improvement activities related to quality processes.
REQUIREMENTS
- Student from Sijil, Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Food Technology, Process Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Halal Industry or related field.
- Minimum internship period: 6 months
- Strong attention to detail
- Required skills: Independent, good interpersonal skills, MS Office
- Good command of English & Bahasa Malaysia
- Responsible, detail-oriented, able to multitask
- Strong interest in manufacturing / production operations
- Responsible, disciplined, proactive, willing to learn and able to work in a team
- Good communication skills and positive attitude.
