Job Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain product costing based on materials, labour, overhead and other production costs.
• Prepare costing and quotations for new and existing products/projects.
• Review and analyse Bill of Materials (BOM), material prices and production requirements.
• Calculate product cost, selling price and profit margin.
• Monitor actual production costs against standard costs and investigate variances.
• Liaise with Production, Purchasing, Sales, Engineering, Store and Finance departments to obtain accurate costing information.
• Monitor material usage, wastage, labour and overhead costs.
• Prepare monthly costing and cost variance reports for management review.
• Assist in inventory valuation, stock reconciliation and costing-related matters.
• Review supplier pricing and update costing based on changes in material and operating costs.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and cost reduction initiatives.
• Maintain accurate costing records and ensure costing data is updated in the ERP/system.
• Support internal and external audits by providing relevant costing and inventory documentation.
• Perform other costing and analysis duties assigned by management.

Requirements

• Diploma/Degree in Accounting, Finance, Costing, Manufacturing, Engineering or related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in costing, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in product costing, BOM and manufacturing cost analysis will be an advantage.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including formulas and data analysis.
• ERP system experience is an added advantage.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills.
• Good attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Good communication and coordination skills.

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM3,000.00 per month
