Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Postnatal Nurse to join our team. This role is ideal for a healthcare professional who is passionate about providing postnatal and maternal-child care. You will ensure high-quality patient care, support new mothers and newborns, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide professional nursing care to postpartum mothers and newborns.
• Educate and support new mothers on infant care, breastfeeding, and postnatal recovery.
• Conduct mother & newborn assessments, administer medications, and monitor their conditions.
• Collaborate with doctors and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best care outcomes.
• Maintain accurate medical records and ensure adherence to healthcare regulations and protocols.
• Offer emotional support and counseling to mothers and families.

Job Requirements:

Must Have Skills

• Valid Practicing Certificate: A current and active nursing license.
• 1+ Year Experience in Postnatal/Maternal-Child Nursing: Minimum of one year’s experience specifically in postnatal or maternal-child care.
• Clinical Skills: Expertise in patient assessment, medication administration, and wound care.
• Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Strong skills in communicating with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
• Compassionate, Patient-Centered Approach: A commitment to providing high-quality, holistic care, focusing on the patient’s needs and comfort.
• Team Collaboration: Ability to work well within a healthcare team and contribute to patient care.
• Problem-Solving and Critical Thinking: Strong skills in analyzing patient situations and making quick, effective decisions.

Good-to-Have Skills:

• Adaptability: Ability to adjust to changing healthcare needs or new situations.
• Advanced Knowledge in Maternal-Child Care:More than the basic level of understanding in postnatal or maternal-child nursing, such as handling complex cases or complications.
• Leadership Skills: Helping guide or mentor less experienced staff or nurses.
• Cultural Sensitivity: Being aware of and respectful towards different cultural backgrounds of patients.
• Experience with Technology: Familiarity with medical technology and electronic health records.
