We are looking for a Metal Stamping Tooling / Die Design Engineer with strong hands-on experience in metal stamping die and tooling design. You will be responsible for developing and improving stamping dies, translating customer requirements into manufacturable designs, and working closely with engineering and production teams to ensure reliable tooling performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop die concepts, layouts, and tooling designs for new and existing metal stamping projects.
• Design, modify, and optimise stamping die sets based on technical requirements, quality standards, and cost targets.
• Review customer drawings, specifications, and technical information and convert them into accurate, production-ready designs.
• Evaluate trial samples, identify tooling or design issues, and recommend appropriate improvements.
• Revise tooling drawings and layouts based on design changes, testing results, and production requirements.
• Ensure tooling designs support efficient production while reducing material waste, rework, and downtime.
• Work closely with engineering and production teams to ensure designs can be manufactured and implemented effectively.
• Prepare, maintain, and update engineering drawings, tooling records, and related documentation.
• Use AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar CAD software for tooling and die design.
• Keep up to date with stamping materials, tooling techniques, and manufacturing technologies.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to tooling design, quality, and production efficiency.

Skills & Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree, Postgraduate Diploma, Professional Degree, or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Tool & Die, Metal Fabrication, Welding, Manufacturing, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in metal stamping die/tooling design or closely related manufacturing operations.
• Strong practical knowledge of metal stamping dies and tooling design.
• Experience with progressive dies or precision stamping is an advantage.
• Hands-on proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar CAD software.
• Able to interpret engineering drawings, customer specifications, and technical documentation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly in identifying and resolving tooling issues.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Able to work independently while collaborating effectively with engineering and production teams.
• Detail-oriented, responsible, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

• Progressive die design and development.
• Precision metal stamping applications.
• Tooling optimisation and troubleshooting.
• Die trials, sample evaluation, and production improvement.

• 1st interview: Reporting Manager
• 2nd interview: General Manager, subject to business requirements

Pay: RM6,000.00 - RM10,000.00 per month
