Role Overview
We are looking for a hands-on and technology-driven Robotics & IT Engineer to manage and optimize robotic systems for smart farming applications. The role will focus on ensuring robotic technologies function effectively in monitoring plant conditions, tracking farm productivity, and supporting data collection to improve farm operations.
In addition, this role will lead and coordinate the technical aspects of company-wide technology projects, ensuring successful implementation, system integration, and delivery of project objectives.
Job Responsibilities
Robotics & Smart Farming Operations
- Ensure robotic systems operate effectively and reliably within the farm environment.
- Configure, test, troubleshoot, and maintain robots, sensors, cameras, and related systems.
- Develop and optimize robot-assisted plant monitoring, including plant growth, health conditions, and farm productivity tracking.
- Support the collection, monitoring, and analysis of farm data to identify operational issues and improvement opportunities.
- Work closely with farm operations teams to identify suitable robotic applications and improve farming efficiency.
- Liaise with technology vendors and partners for technical support, troubleshooting, system upgrades, and enhancements.
IT & Technology Project Management
- Lead and coordinate the technical implementation of company technology projects, from planning and testing to deployment and post-implementation support.
- Assess technical requirements and identify suitable solutions to meet business and operational needs.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders, external vendors, and technology partners to ensure projects are delivered according to agreed timelines and objectives.
- Oversee system integration, testing, troubleshooting, and technical documentation.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential technical risks, and implement solutions to ensure successful delivery.
- Explore opportunities to adopt robotics, automation, IoT, AI, and other technologies to improve farm productivity and business operations.
IT Systems & Technical Support
- Provide technical support for company IT systems, hardware, software, connectivity, and related equipment as required.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and coordinate with service providers to resolve system or equipment failures.
- Maintain proper documentation of system configurations, maintenance activities, technical procedures, and project updates.
- Ensure technology systems are maintained, updated, and functioning reliably.
Other Responsibilities
- Perform other technical, IT, robotics, and project-related duties as assigned by management.
- Support cross-functional initiatives involving technology, farm operations, and business process improvements.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience in robotics, automation, IT systems, IoT, or technology project implementation will be an advantage.
- Knowledge of hardware troubleshooting, system integration, sensors, networking, or automation technologies.
- Familiarity with AI, computer vision, data monitoring, or smart farming technologies will be an added advantage.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, project coordination, and communication skills.
- Willingness to work hands-on in a farm environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Able to manage multiple tasks and take ownership of project deliverables.
Working Location
To be based at Agroz Group, Kota Damansara, with visits to farm facilities or other company locations as required.
Pay: RM5,000.00 - RM8,000.00 per month
