About the Role

We are an established electrical engineering company seekinga motivated intern to help implement Artificial Intelligence (AI) and workflowautomation to improve our business operations.

Our company uses Google Workspace, including Gmail, GoogleDrive, Contacts, Google Chat and Google Calendar. We want to connect thesesystems more effectively and introduce AI solutions to improve documentmanagement, electrical reporting, sales follow-ups and administrativeefficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Study our existing business processes and identify opportunities for AI and automation.

Explore and implement AI solutions using Google Workspace, Gemini and suitable automation tools.

Develop a workflow to convert photographs of handwritten electrical inspection forms and site readings into editable Microsoft Word reports.

Help automate the filing, retrieval and organisation of quotations, technical reports and customer correspondence.

Develop automated reminders for quotation follow-ups, service contract renewals and outstanding tasks.

Build simple management dashboards and document the workflows developed.

Test solutions with company staff and recommend further improvements.

Requirements

Currently pursuing a diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, AI, Business Analytics, Engineering or a related discipline.

Interested in AI applications and business process automation.

Familiarity with Google Workspace and generative AI tools.

Knowledge of workflow automation tools such as Google Apps Script is an advantage.

Basic programming, API integration or document-processing experience is beneficial but not essential.

Analytical, resourceful, organised and willing to learn.

Expected Outcomes

By the end of the internship, the successful candidateshould have delivered practical, tested workflow improvements that reducerepetitive administrative work and improve the speed and accuracy of ourelectrical reporting process.
