The Project Engineer ensures that high-voltage (HV) substation projects are executed with full 

compliance to Siemens Energy quality standards, customer specifications, and international 

regulations. The role supports project (quality) planning, inspection, testing, documentation, and 

supplier quality activities across engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning 

phases.

Roles & responsibilities

* Project Engineer will be responsible for overseeing all related project submittals, required on 

key design contracts, and required to report to Manager to execute the Project.

* He will provide engineering and equipment subcontractor oversight, in partnership with overall 

to assistant the Project Manager.

* Review of customer specification, commercial/technical documents, submittals, testing 

specification and other engineering related.

* Ability to present project solutions to Customers, internal and external project turnover 

activities to the project execution team conduct inspection client representative to ensure site 

progress are per Project Schedule

* Able to manage & coordinate the site progress. Able to coordinate with interfacing vendors or 

internal/external.

* Able to manage the site requirement as follow Project Quality Plan.

* High Voltage Systems Knowledge — GIS/AIS, transformers, HV switchgear, protection & 

control. 

* Quality Management Systems — ISO 9001, QMS processes, documentation control. 

* Inspection & Testing — HV testing, FAT/SAT, ITP execution. 

* Root-Cause Analysis — 5-Why, Fishbone, FMEA, CAPA. 

* Technical Documentation — NCRs, test reports, inspection records. 

* Supplier Quality — Supplier audits, incoming material inspection.

* Attention to Detail — Ensures accuracy in inspections and documentation. 

* Problem-Solving — Structured approach to resolving quality issues. 

* Communication — Clear reporting and coordination with internal/external stakeholders.

Qualifications & Experience 

* Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Quality Engineering, or related field. 

* 3–7 years experience in HV substation projects (GIS/AIS). 

* Experience in Project Engineering roles within EPC, OEM, or utility environments. 

* Knowledge of IEC standards and HV testing procedures. 

* Familiarity with ISO 9001 and QMS processes. 

* Strong analytical and documentation skills.

Working Conditions 

* Based in Cyberjaya, Selangor. 

* Frequent interaction with suppliers, site teams, and commissioning engineers. 

* Requires hands-on inspection at HV substations.
