We're looking for a Japanese-speaking Software Engineer who is ready to explore a different side of software development.

You'll work on enterprise applications using Mendix, a low-code development platform, while helping businesses improve their processes through digital transformation.

Never used Mendix before? That's okay. Training will be provided for developers transitioning from traditional programming.

Who We're Looking For

• 1–5 years of experience in software development
• Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Business IT Management or a related field
• Japanese language proficiency at JLPT N2 level or equivalent
• Strong English communication skills
• Knowledge of HTML, CSS and/or JavaScript
• Experience working in Agile or Scrum development environments
• Strong analytical thinking, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable communicating directly with clients and project stakeholders
• Interested in learning low-code technologies and developing enterprise applications
• Responsible, self-motivated and able to work independently
• Organised, punctual and committed to project deadlines
• Willing to travel internationally for project assignments when required

What You'll Be Doing

1. Build Enterprise Applications With Mendix

• Develop business applications using the Mendix Low-Code Development Platform
• Translate client requirements into practical software solutions
• Test, troubleshoot, maintain and enhance applications
• Support application quality, performance and reliability

2. Collaborate With International Clients

• Understand client business processes and technical requirements
• Participate in requirement discussions, project meetings and solution planning
• Work closely with clients and internal teams to deliver successful projects
• Support implementation activities at client locations when required

3. Work in an Agile Development Environment

• Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups and Scrum activities
• Document functional and technical requirements
• Coordinate development tasks and project deliverables
• Contribute ideas to improve software development processes

4. Grow Beyond Traditional Software Development

• Learn and apply Mendix low-code technologies
• Explore business processes across different industries
• Develop client communication, solution delivery and consulting skills
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and software development practices
