Job Summary

Manage cloud procurement activities, including sourcing, commercial evaluation, contract management and vendor engagement to ensure competitive, compliant and value-driven procurement outcomes. Develop sourcing and procurement approaches for cloud products and services to meet business and technology requirements while optimising cost and commercial value.

Negotiate commercial terms with cloud service providers and potential consumers to achieve favourable and sustainable commercial arrangements. Support the implementation of cloud procurement governance, processes and standards to strengthen procurement controls, transparency and compliance. Collaborate with Technology, Legal, Finance, business stakeholders and external parties to facilitate timely and effective cloud procurement and contracting activities.

Job Responsibilities:

1. RManage end-to-end procurement activities for cloud products and services to achieve timely, compliant, and value-driven procurement outcomes.

2. Develop sourcing strategies and procurement approaches for cloud requirements to optimise cost, quality, service, and commercial value.

3. Evaluate supplier proposals, commercial models and pricing structures to support objective and commercially sound procurement decision.

4. Negotiate commercial terms with cloud service providers and potential consumers to achieve competitive, sustainable and mutually beneficial arrangements.

5. Manage cloud vendor relationships and performance to ensure contractual compliance, service quality and commercial effectiveness.

6. Coordinate with the main Procurement Division and Legal Division, MCMC on contractual and commercial matters to ensure appropriate legal protections and alignment with organisational requirements.

7. Monitor cloud expenditure, pricing and consumption trends to identify cost optimisation opportunities and improve procurement efficiency.

8. Manage cloud contract renewals, extensions, variations and related commercial activities to maintain service continuity and optimise contractual outcomes.

9. Implement cloud procurement governance, policies and procedures to strengthen compliance, transparency and procurement controls.

10. Engage Technology, Finance, Legal, business stakeholders and external suppliers to align procurement activities with business requirements and organisational objectives.

Qualification & Work Experience

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, Information Technology or related field from a recognized university + relevant professional qualification/certification where applicable.

2. Knowledge of cloud computing, cloud service models, technology procurement, commercial models, supplier management, contract management and relevant procurement requirements.

3. Professional certification in procurement or supply chain management would be an advantage.

4. 8 years of relevant experience in Procurement, strategic sourcing, supply chain, commercial management and/or technology procurement.

5. 3–5 years of relevant experience in Cloud, technology or digital procurement, including sourcing, commercial evaluation, contract negotiation and vendor management.

6. 2–3 years of relevant experience managing moderately complex procurement exercises and negotiating with suppliers, service providers and other external stakeholders.

• Vendor & Stakeholder Management – Ability to manage relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure effective delivery and alignment with business requirements.

• Procurement Governance & Risk Management – Ability to apply procurement policies, processes and commercial controls to ensure compliant, transparent and appropriately governed procurement activities.
