Job Summary
Responsible for electrical panel assembly, wiring, installation, inspection and testing according to electrical drawings, specifications and Bill of Materials (BOM). Ensure all electrical components and wiring are installed correctly, neatly and safely before packaging and dispatch.

Key Responsibilities :

• Interpret Electrical Drawings
• Read and understand electrical schematic diagrams, schematic wiring diagrams, Single-Line Diagrams (SLDs) and panel general arrangement/layout drawings.
• Refer to drawings provided by the Engineering and Parts Development teams for panel assembly and wiring work.
• Electrical Component Installation
• Drill and tap holes for the proper installation of electrical components inside control panels and enclosures.
• Install components such as MCBs, MCCBs, contactors, relays, PLCs, meters and terminal blocks onto mounting plates or DIN rails.
• Ensure all components are securely installed according to the approved drawings and specifications.
• Panel Wiring and Cable Installation
• Cut, strip, crimp, bend and route power cables and control wires according to electrical circuit diagrams.
• Ensure correct cable size, colour coding, routing and termination are followed.
• Perform crimping of wire lugs and ferrules to ensure proper and secure electrical connections.
• Cable Management and Identification
• Ensure wiring is neatly bundled, laced and properly routed inside the panel.
• Apply correct wire markers, cable identification and labelling according to the drawings.
• Ensure wiring and cable management are neat, organized and meet the required standards.
• Panel Inspection and Quality Checking
• Complete the required checklist for every electrical panel before final approval.
• Verify that all installed components match the Bill of Materials (BOM).
• Check cable sizes, colour coding, wire numbers, wire orientation and component installation.
• Conduct random pull tests to ensure wires and terminals are properly secured.
• Check earthing cable termination and ensure proper connection.
• Verify that nameplates, labels and warning signs are correct, securely fixed and properly positioned.
• Final Inspection and Housekeeping
• Conduct a final inspection of the completed panel to ensure all components and wiring are properly installed.
• Ensure the panel is free from loose wires, cable pieces, drilling debris and other foreign materials.
• Perform final housekeeping to ensure the panel is clean and ready for packaging and dispatch.

Requirements :

• Certificate / Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Electronic Engineering or related field.
• Experience in electrical panel assembly, panel wiring or electrical installation will be an added advantage.
• Able to read and understand electrical schematic diagrams and wiring drawings.
• Basic knowledge of electrical components such as MCB, MCCB, contactors, relays, PLCs, meters and terminal blocks.
• Able to use basic hand tools and electrical tools for panel assembly and wiring.
• Good attention to detail and able to follow drawings and work instructions accurately.
