Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Business, Sales & Marketing, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• Relevant professional qualifications or industry certifications will be an advantage.
• Experience in the Malaysian government or public sector, including dealings with GLCs or government-linked organisations, is highly preferred.
• Proven track record handling government tenders, RFQs, RFPs or project-based IT sales is expected.

Hard Skills & Knowledge

• Good knowledge of IT hardware and solutions, including commercial PCs, notebooks, servers, storage, displays, peripherals and infrastructure services.
• Proven ability to prepare commercial proposals, manage pricing and control discounts within company guidelines.
• Comfortable using CRM systems to maintain opportunity data, produce pipeline reports and provide sales forecasts.
• Experience coordinating technical evaluations, proofs of concept and product demonstrations with technical teams and partners.

Soft Skills & Qualities

• Target-driven and results-focused with practical commercial judgement to protect margins while winning public sector business.
• Strong presentation and communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia, both written and spoken.
• Analytical problem-solver who works well independently and in cross-functional teams including Product, Presales, Finance and After-Sales.
• Willing to travel across Malaysia for customer and partner meetings.

This role is the Builder: you will shape and scale our public sector presence by creating a consistent tender pipeline, designing competitive bid approaches, and growing partner engagement. You will own end-to-end opportunity management from early stakeholder mapping to proposal submission and post-award account growth, coordinating internal technical and commercial teams to close projects that meet revenue and margin goals.
