Business Process Improvement Specialist

This position is based in our Johor office and fully on-site; remote work is not available.

We are looking for a Business Process Improvement Specialist to join our Finance team and drive improvements across Finance, Sales, and Business Operations.

This is not a traditional accounting or reporting role. You will combine your understanding of Finance and business processes with your technical skills to identify problems, develop solutions, automate workflows, and challenge the way things are done today.

What will you do?

1. Automate and improve processes

·       Identify manual, repetitive, and inefficient processes across Finance, Sales, and Operations.

·       Design and implement automation solutions using BI tools and other relevant technologies.

·       Reduce manual work, improve accuracy, strengthen controls, and increase productivity.

·       Explore opportunities to apply AI and coding to solve business problems.

2. Turn data into actionable insights

·       Develop Power BI dashboards and automated reporting solutions.

·       Connect data from different systems and sources to improve visibility and decision-making.

·       Replace manual, spreadsheet-heavy reporting with scalable and efficient solutions.

·       Support improvements in financial reporting, sales performance analysis, cost management, and operational reporting.

3. Rethink business processes

·       Work with Finance, Sales, and Operational Teams to understand their challenges and identify opportunities for improvement.

·       Review existing workflows, identify bottlenecks, and develop more efficient ways of working.

·       Translate business requirements into practical technical solutions.

·       Improve processes across the full business cycle, from sales and claims to accounting, reporting, and financial controls.

4. Build, test, and implement solutions

·       Take ownership of improvement initiatives from identifying the problem through development, implementation, and continuous improvement.

·       Develop prototypes, test new ideas, and refine solutions based on user feedback.

·       Work with Finance and IT to ensure solutions are reliable, secure, and sustainable.

·       Measure the impact of improvements through time saved, errors reduced, productivity gains, and better business insights.

Who are we looking for?

·       A Finance background is essential

·       A genuine passion for problem-solving, process improvement, and finding better ways of working.

·       Strong active listening skills, with the ability to understand stakeholders’ needs and pain points before proposing solutions.

·       Hands-on experience with Power BI, Power Automate, or other BI and automation tools.

·       Knowledge of SQL, Python, APIs, or other programming technologies.

·       An understanding of how Finance connects with Sales and Operations.

·       The ability to translate business problems into practical, technology-driven solutions.

·       A proactive mindset, curiosity, and the confidence to challenge existing processes constructively.

·  The ability to work independently, take ownership, and turn ideas into results.
