Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Veterinarian role based in Batu Caves. The Veterinarian will conduct clinical examinations, diagnose medical conditions, recommend treatment plans, and perform surgical procedures for both pets and livestock. Daily responsibilities include administering vaccinations, prescribing medications, monitoring anesthesia, interpreting diagnostic tests, and maintaining accurate medical records. The role also involves communicating clearly with animal caregivers, providing guidance on preventive care and nutrition, and ensuring a safe, hygienic clinical environment. The Veterinarian will collaborate with veterinary assistants and other team members to deliver high-quality, compassionate care and support the overall operations of the clinic.

Qualifications

• Professional veterinary skills, including clinical examination, diagnosis, treatment planning, and routine surgical procedures.
• Competence with modern veterinary technology such as digital X-ray equipment, oxygen chambers, and in-house laboratory diagnostics.
• Strong skills in animal handling, anesthesia monitoring, pain management, and post-operative care.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working with clients and collaborating with veterinary assistants and other team members.
• Ability to maintain detailed, accurate medical records and follow established clinical protocols and safety standards.
• Recognized veterinary degree and valid registration/licensing with the relevant veterinary authority.
• Willingness to work with both companion animals and livestock, and to handle occasional emergency or after-hours cases as needed.
• Commitment to continuous learning, ethical practice, and delivering compassionate, patient-centered veterinary care.
