Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Mid-Senior Scrum Master to facilitate Agile delivery and coordinate cross-functional engineering and software development teams within the semiconductor industry. The successful candidate will drive Agile ceremonies, remove impediments, manage delivery risks and dependencies, and promote continuous improvement across semiconductor technology projects.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on Scrum Master experience, strong stakeholder management skills, and the ability to work with hardware, software, firmware, systems engineering, testing, and manufacturing teams in a complex technical environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate Scrum ceremonies, including Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, Sprint Retrospectives, and Backlog Refinement.
• Guide cross-functional teams in applying Scrum and Agile principles to semiconductor engineering and technology projects.
• Coordinate development activities across software, firmware, hardware, verification, validation, product engineering, and manufacturing teams.
• Work closely with Product Owners, Engineering Managers, Technical Leads, and project stakeholders to prioritise backlogs and establish sprint goals.
• Monitor sprint progress, deliverables, dependencies, risks, blockers, and project milestones.
• Identify and remove impediments that affect engineering productivity and delivery timelines.
• Track Agile performance metrics, including velocity, burndown/burnup, cycle time, throughput, and sprint predictability.
• Facilitate collaboration between local and international engineering teams, including offshore or geographically distributed teams.
• Support Agile planning for semiconductor development programmes, including design, verification, validation, testing, product qualification, and engineering releases.
• Coordinate dependencies between hardware and software development, embedded systems, firmware, automation, and test engineering teams.
• Ensure user stories, engineering tasks, acceptance criteria, and deliverables are sufficiently defined before sprint execution.
• Identify opportunities to improve engineering workflows, development efficiency, defect resolution, and delivery quality.
• Facilitate risk and issue discussions and escalate technical or resource constraints to the appropriate stakeholders.
• Maintain project tracking, sprint boards, dashboards, documentation, and progress reports using Agile project management tools.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and Agile maturity across engineering teams.
• Work with project managers and functional leaders in hybrid Agile environments where required.

Semiconductor Project Exposure

Experience in one or more of the following areas would be advantageous:

• Semiconductor product development
• Integrated Circuit (IC) design and development
• ASIC / FPGA development
• Embedded software and firmware development
• Hardware engineering and system integration
• Design verification and validation
• Silicon validation and product qualification
• Automated test equipment (ATE) and test engineering
• Semiconductor manufacturing and process engineering
• Product engineering and yield improvement
• Engineering automation and digital transformation
• Semiconductor equipment and manufacturing systems

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Typically 4–8 years of relevant IT, software or engineering project delivery experience, including at least 3 years as a Scrum Master or in a comparable Agile delivery role.
• Strong understanding of Scrum, Agile methodologies, SDLC, sprint planning, backlog management, and continuous improvement.
• Proven experience facilitating Agile ceremonies and coordinating cross-functional teams.
• Experience managing project risks, blockers, dependencies, priorities, and delivery timelines.
• Strong communication, facilitation, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience using Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar Agile project management tools.
• Ability to work with technical teams and communicate effectively with engineering and business stakeholders.
• Comfortable working in a dynamic environment with changing technical requirements and competing priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional Scrum Master (PSM I/II), Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), or equivalent Agile certification.
• SAFe Agilist or SAFe Scrum Master certification.
• PMI-ACP, PMP, or other recognised project management certification.
• Experience in semiconductor, electronics, embedded systems, hardware/software integration, or engineering environments.
• Experience working with international engineering teams and multiple technical workstreams.
• Knowledge of Kanban, Lean, DevOps, or continuous delivery practices.
