• Have a Diploma or Degree in IT, Computer Science, Information Systems, Electronics or a related field

• Have 0–2 years of experience; fresh graduates are welcome

• Enjoy solving puzzles and digging until you find the real cause

• Pay close attention to detail and like getting things right

• Write clearly in English, and can explain technical things in simple words

• Are comfortable with numbers and technical data, such as hex, binary or log files

• Can manage several tasks at once and work independently once trained

Be the payment detective

• Investigate failed, timed-out or missing payments by tracing terminal and cash-register (ECR) logs

• Learn to read the messages terminals exchange with banks (ISO 8583)

• Reconcile terminal records against settlement reports, and explain what happened in clear incident reports

Be the last line of quality

• Test every new software release on real payment terminals before it reaches banks and shops

• Run regression checks on sales, voids, refunds, settlements, QR payments and ECR integrations

• Write test cases and checklists, log bugs clearly and confirm the fixes

Turn ideas into plans

• Turn requests from banks and merchants into clear requirement documents our developers can build from

• Ask the right questions early, so nothing gets lost between the client and the code

Keep payments safe and compliant

• Prepare the documents banks need for certification, security reviews and audits

• Build working knowledge of industry standards such as PCI DSS, EMVCo and Bank Negara's RMiT

Keep an eye on the market

• Research competitors and new payment trends, from DuitNow QR to tap-on-phone
