Smartlink Engineering Sdn. Bhd. is a Malaysian contract manufacturer and engineering solutions provider serving the semiconductor and high-technology industries. Our capabilities include cable and wire harness assembly, control panels, electrical and mechanical module assembly, box-build assemblies, precision engineering and system integration.

As our business continues to grow, we are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Executive – Material Planning to support our material planning and control activities, ensuring timely material availability to meet production requirements.

Work Location: Seksyen 32, Shah Alam

The position will relocate to our new Sijangkang facility upon completion and commencement of operations at the new factory, currently targeted for January 2027.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Material Planning & Control

• Review production schedules and material requirements to ensure materials are available to support production.
• Monitor material availability and identify shortages that may affect production schedules.
• Prepare and maintain material shortage reports, following up on outstanding and critical items.
• Coordinate with Purchasing and Warehouse to expedite materials and resolve supply issues.

2. BOM & Production Order Management

• Verify BOM details, part numbers, quantities and material requirements against production orders.
• Identify discrepancies between BOMs, production orders and available inventory.
• Coordinate with Engineering to resolve BOM discrepancies and material-related issues.
• Ensure material and production records are updated accurately in the relevant systems.

3. ERP/MRP System & Data Management

• Update and maintain material transactions, production orders and planning information in the ERP/MRP system.
• Monitor system records and follow up on discrepancies affecting material planning.
• Ensure material requirements and production data are accurate and updated within the required timelines.

4. Production Coordination & Inventory Monitoring

• Coordinate with Production to ensure material readiness and support production requirements.
• Communicate material shortages, outstanding items and potential production delays to relevant departments.
• Support material kitting, stock transfers and material issuance to Production.
• Assist in investigating physical stock and system discrepancies, while supporting inventory control and material traceability.

Requirements :

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Material Management, Logistics, Manufacturing or a related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in material planning, inventory control, production planning or a manufacturing environment.
• Basic understanding of BOM, material requirements, inventory control and production processes.
• Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems is an advantage.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Strong organisational, analytical and follow-up skills, with attention to detail.
• Good communication and coordination skills to work effectively with Production, Purchasing, Warehouse and Engineering.
• Candidates with experience in cable and wire harness assembly, electronics or contract manufacturing will have an added advantage.

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
