Responsibilities

• Deliver lectures, tutorials, practical sessions, and other teaching and learning activities for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
• Prepare and develop course materials, assessments, teaching resources, and other academic content in accordance with MQA requirements.
• Provide academic consultation, guidance, and support to students to enhance their learning and academic performance.
• Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate students in academic projects, final-year projects, dissertations, and research activities.
• Conduct research and contribute to research proposals, journal publications, conference papers, and other scholarly activities.
• Participate in curriculum development, course review, programme accreditation, and academic quality assurance activities.
• Participate in faculty meetings, seminars, workshops, conferences, committees, and other university activities.
• Maintain current knowledge of emerging technologies, industry trends, and developments in Information Technology.
• Contribute to industry engagement, professional activities, and other initiatives of the Faculty.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Faculty or University.

Requirements

• Possess a Master’s degree or PhD in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, Data Science, or a related field from a recognised university for the Lecturer position.
• Possess a PhD in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, Data Science, or a related field from a recognised university for the Senior Lecturer position.
• A minimum of 1 - 2 years of relevant teaching experience in higher education is preferred for the Lecturer position, while relevant higher education teaching experience is required for the Senior Lecturer position.
• Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and practical expertise in one or more areas of Information Technology.
• Demonstrate a passion for teaching and a commitment to supporting students in achieving their academic and professional goals.
• Possess good communication, interpersonal, presentation, organisational, and teamwork skills.
• Have a demonstrated research and publication track record, particularly for the Senior Lecturer position.
• Experience in supervising postgraduate students will be an advantage, particularly for the Senior Lecturer position.
• Have knowledge of MQA requirements, curriculum development, programme accreditation, and academic quality assurance.
• Relevant industry experience, professional certifications, or industry engagement will be an added advantage.
• Demonstrate the ability to contribute to curriculum development, academic programme enhancement, and continuous improvement in teaching and learning.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From RM3,000.00 per month
