ROLE PURPOSE

Personally design, build, and ship Weera's digital platforms as the group's first dedicated senior engineering hire — working directly with the CEO, hands-on across the full stack, with no engineering team or CTO layer in between for now.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Personally design, build, test, and deploy features across the front end and back end of Weera's digital platforms, in priority order.
• Own technical architecture decisions pragmatically — right-sized for a lean startup, not over-engineered for scale that doesn't exist yet.
• Set up and maintain CI/CD, cloud hosting, and basic security/compliance practices (including PDPA) as a hands-on engineer.
• Make pragmatic build-vs-buy and tooling choices in collaboration with the CEO and the Growth Lead — Weera Technology.
• Document the codebase and technical decisions clearly, so the work is maintainable and ready for future engineering hires to build on.
• Act as Weera's go-to technical resource across all three business units until the team scales.

REQUIREMENTS

• 5+ years of professional full-stack development experience, ideally including time shipping production systems solo or in a very small team at a startup or scale-up.
• Strong proficiency in a modern JavaScript/TypeScript stack (e.g., React or similar front end; Node.js or similar back end) plus relational and/or non-relational databases.
• Hands-on experience with cloud deployment (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Comfortable owning a product end-to-end without a dedicated engineering team or a CTO layer in between — genuinely a builder, not primarily a manager.
• Working knowledge of data privacy and security practices relevant to a multi-market business (PDPA or equivalent).
