Anytime Fitness is seeking an experienced, strategic, and hands-on Head of Finance to lead our financial operations, oversee multiple business accounts, and drive financial performance across the group.

The ideal candidate will have more than 10 years of relevant finance and accounting experience, with a proven track record of managing multiple company accounts, overseeing financial reporting, strengthening internal controls, and providing strategic financial insights to support business growth.

This role requires a strong leader who can manage complex financial operations, ensure compliance with applicable financial and tax regulations, and work closely with management to support business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Management & Group Reporting

• Oversee the overall finance and accounting functions across multiple business entities and company accounts.
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
• Consolidate financial statements and prepare group-level financial reports where applicable.
• Monitor cash flow, working capital, budgets, and financial performance across business units.
• Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic planning and business decisions.

2. Multi-Entity Account Management

• Manage and monitor multiple company accounts, ensuring proper financial records, accurate reporting, and effective financial controls.
• Oversee intercompany transactions, reconciliations, and balances between related entities.
• Ensure consistency in accounting practices, financial reporting, and documentation across the group.
• Monitor the financial health and performance of each business entity and highlight potential risks or improvement opportunities.

3. Budgeting & Financial Planning

• Lead the annual budgeting process, financial forecasting, and expenditure planning.
• Analyse actual financial results against budgets and forecasts, identifying variances and recommending corrective actions.
• Develop financial strategies to improve profitability, optimise costs, and strengthen cash flow management.
• Advise management on business expansion, investment decisions, and financial risks.

4. Compliance, Audit & Taxation

• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax regulations, statutory requirements, and financial reporting obligations in Malaysia.
• Coordinate annual audits, tax submissions, and statutory reporting with external auditors, tax agents, and relevant authorities.
• Strengthen internal controls, financial policies, and standard operating procedures.
• Identify financial risks and implement measures to safeguard company assets and maintain financial integrity.

5. Leadership & Team Management

• Lead, coach, and develop the finance and accounting team.
• Establish clear work processes, reporting timelines, and performance expectations.
• Review the team's work to ensure accuracy, accountability, and efficiency.
• Collaborate with other departments and business leaders to support operational and commercial objectives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in finance and accounting, with substantial experience in a senior finance or leadership role.
• Proven experience managing multiple business accounts or multiple legal entities, preferably within a group of companies.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, management accounting, budgeting, cash flow management, taxation, and audit processes.
• Experience in group consolidation and intercompany accounting will be an advantage.
• Familiarity with Malaysian statutory and regulatory requirements, including relevant tax and accounting obligations.
• Strong leadership, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• High attention to detail, integrity, accountability, and the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Proficient in accounting systems, Microsoft Excel, and financial reporting tools.
• Able to communicate effectively with senior management, external auditors, tax agents, and other stakeholders.

Professional accounting qualifications such as ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or MIA membership will be an added advantage.
