Who We Are

Double Dot is a software agency based in Petaling Jaya, specialising in building custom systems for banks, insurers, automotive brands and Fortune Global 500 companies. Our approach to building is simple - we figure out what the real problem is first, and then build the least amount of software that solves it.

Job Purpose

We’re looking for backend developers to join our team and help build the systems behind our clients’ apps: the APIs, the data, and the integrations with what they already run. A typical week might include building an approval workflow for a bank’s operations team, connecting a client’s app to their CRM, and tracking down a production bug through the logs.

You’ll work in a team with our designers, frontend developers, other backend developers, QA, tech lead and project manager.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Design and develop APIs & backend systems, ensuring they operate reliably and meet specifications.
• Integrations with the systems our clients already use (payment gateways, CRMs, etc.).
• Collaborate with designers, front end developers and project managers to create solutions together.
• Fixing bugs found in SIT, UAT and production.
• Implementing security and access controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
• 2+ years building production backends with NodeJS and TypeScript.
• Solid experience with non-relational and relational databases, including schema design and query performance.
• Experience in designing and building REST APIs.
• Familiarity with Git - branches, MRs, resolving conflicts.
• Experience with Linux and with deploying and debugging on servers.
• Clear written and spoken English.
• Experience with AWS, Docker, CI/CD is a bonus.

Pay: RM5,000.00 - RM6,500.00 per month
