Job Overview

We are hiring on behalf of our client for an experienced Head of Information Technology (IT HOD) to lead and oversee the organization's IT operations, infrastructure, governance, and technology initiatives.

The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, leadership capabilities, and business acumen to ensure efficient IT operations while aligning technology strategies with business objectives and regional IT initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the IT Department, overseeing daily IT operations, team performance, and overall service delivery.
• Develop, implement, and enforce IT policies, procedures, governance frameworks, and compliance guidelines.
• Oversee the organization's IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, systems, and related technologies, ensuring security, reliability, and operational continuity.
• Plan, coordinate, and manage IT projects, including system implementations, infrastructure upgrades, and process improvements.
• Collaborate with regional IT teams, business divisions, and department heads to identify technology requirements and deliver effective IT solutions.
• Ensure IT operations and initiatives are aligned with organizational objectives, regional standards, and business requirements.
• Oversee IT security practices, risk management, system access controls, and data protection measures.
• Monitor IT infrastructure performance, troubleshoot operational issues, and implement preventive measures to minimize disruptions.
• Coordinate with external IT vendors and service providers to ensure effective delivery of technology solutions and support services.
• Support IT resource planning, budget management, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide strategic IT recommendations to management to enhance operational efficiency, system reliability, and business performance.
• Support internal and external IT audits and ensure adherence to applicable IT governance and compliance standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of working experience in IT, with proven experience in IT management, operations, or departmental leadership.
• Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, network administration, enterprise systems, and IT security.
• Solid understanding of IT governance, compliance, risk management, and business processes.
• Proven experience in managing IT projects, system implementations, and infrastructure improvements.
• Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to manage and develop technical teams.
• Experience working with regional IT teams and cross-functional business stakeholders will be an advantage.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Resourceful, adaptable, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a dynamic business environment.
• Exposure to ISO management systems, particularly ISO 27001 (Information Security Management System), will be an added advantage.

Pay: RM16,000.00 - RM20,000.00 per month
