Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC Lathe and CNC Milling machines according to technical drawings, job specifications, tooling requirements, and work instructions.
- Analyze technical drawings, perform necessary calculations, and independently determine the appropriate machining process, setup, tools, and equipment.
- Perform in-process quality checks and ensure products meet required quality, dimensional, and process specifications.
- Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and equipment issues, making necessary adjustments or reprogramming to ensure smooth production and minimize downtime.
- Continuously improve machine setup time, machining processes, productivity, and efficiency to reduce overall machine hours and costs.
- Monitor and maintain part identification, traceability, and non-conformance (NC) control throughout the production process.
- Provide technical guidance, training, and support to Machinist–Setters and junior machinists to improve machining skills and ensure safe working practices.
- Identify and report production issues, technical problems, or product abnormalities to the Departmental Lead and assist in resolving issues within your technical capability.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, company policies, EHS requirements, departmental KPIs, and quality objectives.
- Support preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and upkeep of machines, tools, and equipment according to requirements.
- Participate in continuous improvement and process enhancement activities to reduce incidents, improve capacity, and increase machine availability.
- Carry out assigned jobs and support overtime when required to achieve production targets.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Superior.
CNC Lathe – Machining Operations
- Perform turning, facing, grooving, drilling, threading/thread chasing, knurling, and related CNC lathe operations.
- Measure finished components, detect machining abnormalities, adjust cutting parameters, and sharpen or replace worn tools when required.
CNC Milling – Machining Operations
- Set up and operate CNC milling machines, including fixture, tooling, and workpiece installation.
- Perform milling, drilling, tapping, profiling, and other machining operations according to drawing and process requirements.
- Verify dimensions and surface quality using appropriate measuring instruments and gauges.
Pay: RM2,000.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
