Working Hours: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM MYT
Contract Type: Yearly Renewable
Salary: Up to RM 11,000 per month

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Mainframe Communication Server (Network) Engineer to support the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of mainframe network systems in a z/OS environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in the design, development, and implementation of mainframe network systems, including TCP/IP and SNA/APPN.
• Provide technical support for z/OS operating systems, system programming, and data centre operations.
• Configure, support, and tune MVS/z/OS environments and system products.
• Support CICS, databases, scheduling tools, and software application management tools.
• Troubleshoot mainframe connectivity and network-related issues.
• Support printer setup and mainframe communication requirements.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5–7 years of experience in mainframe network engineering support or implementation in a z/OS environment.
• Minimum 3–4 years of z/OS systems programming experience.
• Strong knowledge of networking, protocols, troubleshooting, and mainframe connectivity.
• Working knowledge of TCP/IP and SNA communications.
• Experience with printer setup.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of IBM zEnterprise server hardware.
• Experience with REXX and/or SAS programming.
• Knowledge of encryption technologies and certificate management, including AT-TLS and KEYRINGs.
• IT degree, relevant technology certifications, or equivalent experience.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Banking or financial services domain knowledge is an advantage.
