About our client:

Our client is seeking a Head of Sales – Electronics (S.E.A, Korea and Japan) to shape and execute the business line strategy, drive revenue growth, increase market penetration, and ensure overall profitability of the Electronics business line. The role will focus on developing and securing new and existing business opportunities across relevant market segments.

Key Responsibilities:

1. General Summary

• The Head of Sales SEAKJ - Electronics is responsible for shaping and executing the business line strategy to drive revenue growth, increase market penetration, and ensure overall profitability (P&L) of the Electronics business line.
• The role focuses on developing and securing new and existing business opportunities across relevant market segments.
• The Head of Sales SEAKJ will lead, mentor and manage dedicated and shared sales teams, collaborating closely with technical, marketing, and cross-functional teams to meet unmet market needs with validated value propositions.
• This includes aligning the product portfolio with customer and market requirements and communicating these needs to Product Management for potential innovation or product development.
• Key tasks include prospecting new business through cold calling, delivering presentations, engaging in industry events, and securing new accounts. The director will also work with other client's regions as needed to support regional and global strategies.

2. Sales Strategy & Business Development

• Develop and implement the country-level-specific sales strategy aligned with global business line goals and objectives.
• Identify market trends, opportunities, and challenges to adjust strategies as needed.
• Drive new business development and expand market share by identifying and pursuing new sales opportunities.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key clients and stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.

3. Sales Leadership & Team Management

• Lead, mentor, and manage the country sales team to achieve sales targets and maximize performance.
• Conduct regular performance reviews, provide coaching, and foster a high-performance sales culture.

4. Market & Product Management

• Represent client's products and services with a comprehensive understanding to identify how solutions meet the needs of customers in the region.
• Stay informed on new products, services, and other information of interest to the market and potential customers.
• Gather and prioritize product and customer requirements, assess the market landscape, and evaluate competitive offerings to define requirements.

5. Sales Operations & Reporting

• Analyze sales metrics and market trends to provide insights and recommendations to senior management.
• Develop and present sales reports and forecasts to leadership.
• Oversee day-to-day sales operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
• Ensure effective implementation of sales processes and CRM systems to track performance and improve efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements in sales contracts and channel partner agreements.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Chemistry, MBA is preferred.
• Experience in various Electronics market segments such as Computing, Communications, Consumer, Industrial, and Automotive Electronics.
• Broad knowledge of Adhesives, Conformal Coatings, Potting Resins, and the Electronics assembly process.
• In-depth knowledge of the local market and competitive landscape.
• Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
• Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop a sales team.
• Excellent written and oral communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to analyze data, generate insights, and make strategic decisions.
• Computer literate with proficiency in MS Office, CRM systems, and other business systems (e.g., SAP).
• Must be able to travel extensively and possess a valid passport.
• Sensitive to cultural differences.
• Sound business judgment with a results-oriented mindset.

Remuneration:

RM 10,000 - RM15,000
