Junior Tester – L1

Job Type: 1 Year extended contract

Job Description

We are looking for a Junior Tester – L1 with at least 1 year of experience in Manual Testing to join our QA team. The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of software testing fundamentals and hands-on experience in executing test cases and identifying defects.

Experience in the Banking/Financial Services domain will be highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform manual testing of applications based on business and technical requirements.
• Prepare, review and execute test cases and test scenarios.
• Perform functional, regression, integration and system testing.
• Identify, document and track defects using appropriate defect management tools.
• Re-test defects after fixes and ensure issues are properly resolved.
• Participate in test planning and provide testing status updates.
• Work closely with developers, business analysts and other QA team members to resolve defects.
• Ensure adequate test coverage and maintain testing documentation.
• Support UAT and production validation activities when required.

Required Skills & Experience

• 1+ year of hands-on experience in Manual Testing.
• Good understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and defect life cycle.
• Experience in test case preparation, execution and defect reporting.
• Knowledge of Functional Testing and Regression Testing.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a QA and development team.

Good to Have

• Knowledge or hands-on exposure to Automation Testing will be an advantage.
• Knowledge of automation tools/frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright or similar will be an added advantage.
• Experience with API testing or tools such as Postman will be an advantage.
• Experience working with JIRA, Azure DevOps or other defect/test management tools will be an advantage.
• Banking / Financial Services domain experience is highly preferred.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field preferred.

Pay: RM1,920.85 - RM3,400.00 per month
