About the role

International School of Kuantan is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Teachers to join our education team in January 2027. This is a full-time position based in Pahang, offering the opportunity to teach and inspire students within an international school setting. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction, fostering critical thinking, and preparing students for academic success and future business careers. Your work will be instrumental in developing financially literate and commercially aware individuals who can navigate an increasingly complex global economy.

• Mandarin

Key responsibilities

• Planning, preparing and delivering engaging lessons that align with the school's curriculum and international educational standards
• Assessing student progress through a variety of methods including examinations, assignments, presentations and practical exercises, and providing constructive feedback to support student development
• Creating a positive, inclusive and supportive classroom environment that encourages student participation, critical thinking and academic engagement
• Maintaining accurate records of student attendance, progress and achievement, and communicating regularly with parents regarding student performance
• Collaborating with colleagues to develop curriculum materials, resources and departmental initiatives that enhance the quality of teaching and learning
• Preparing students for internal and external examinations, including IGCSE, A-Level or equivalent qualifications
• Monitoring and supporting individual student needs, identifying those requiring additional support or enrichment opportunities
• Contributing to the wider life of the school through participation in co-curricular activities, pastoral care responsibilities and school events
• Staying current with developments in business education and implementing best practices in the classroom

What we're looking for

• A bachelor's degree in the related discipline
• A recognised teaching qualification or credential (such as a Teaching Certificate, PGCE or equivalent)
• Proven experience teaching the required subjects.
• Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for the subjects.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly to students of varying abilities
• Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple classes and administrative responsibilities
• A commitment to student-centred learning and the ability to create an inclusive classroom environment
• Experience or familiarity with international curricula (such as IGCSE, A-Level, IB or equivalent) is highly desirable
• Proficiency in the use of educational technology and digital resources
• A collaborative approach to working with colleagues and a commitment to professional development
