Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

• Identify and develop new business opportunities while maintaining strong relationships with existing customers.
• Handle customer enquiries, RFQs (Requests for Quotation), and follow up on quotations and sales opportunities.
• Conduct customer visits, technical discussions, and commercial negotiations.
• Achieve assigned sales targets and support business growth.

Costing & Quotation

• Prepare accurate product costing and competitive quotations based on customer requirements.
• Analyse material costs, machining costs, labour costs, tooling costs, overheads, and profit margins.
• Review technical drawings, specifications, and Bill of Materials (BOM) to determine manufacturing costs.
• Coordinate with Production, Engineering, Purchasing, and other relevant departments to obtain costing information.
• Review and update costing based on material price changes, production requirements, and customer specifications.
• Ensure timely submission of quotations and follow up on customer feedback.

Technical & Customer Support

• Interpret engineering drawings and understand customer technical requirements.
• Provide technical advice and recommend suitable manufacturing solutions.
• Coordinate with internal departments to ensure customer requirements, quality standards, and delivery schedules are met.
• Support new product introduction (NPI) activities and technical discussions.
• Resolve customer enquiries related to product specifications, pricing, and delivery.

Job Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related fields.
• Minimum 2 years of working experience in technical sales, costing, or quotation preparation within the manufacturing industry.
• Experience in sheet metal fabrication, CNC machining, metal stamping, or precision engineering is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of product costing, manufacturing processes, and cost estimation.
• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other relevant costing tools.
• Good communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently, manage multiple RFQs, and meet deadlines.
• Possess own transport and willing to travel for customer visits when required.
