About the role

We are looking for a Robotics Software Engineer to develop and improve the software running on our AGV and AMR systems. You will work on robot navigation, localization, motion control, sensor integration and autonomous behaviours using ROS 2, and work closely with our mechanical, electrical and software teams to deploy robots in real industrial environments.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain ROS 2-based AGV/AMR software
• Develop robot navigation, localization and motion control
• Implement and improve SLAM, path planning and obstacle avoidance
• Integrate sensors including LiDAR, camera, IMU, encoder and ultrasonic sensors
• Integrate motors, steering systems and other robot hardware
• Tune and optimize robot navigation performance in real environments
• Troubleshoot robot software and navigation issues
• Develop autonomous behaviours such as charging, docking and mission execution
• Integrate robot software with RoboSync fleet management system
• Conduct robot testing, commissioning and on-site deployment

About you

• Degree/Diploma in Robotics, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field
• Experience with ROS / ROS 2
• Proficient in C++ and/or Python
• Familiar with Linux / Ubuntu
• Understanding of mobile robot navigation concepts
• Familiar with Git/version control
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• ROS 2 Nav2
• SLAM / localization
• LiDAR + IMU + odometry sensor fusion
