Minimum SPM / high school qualification or equivalent

At least 1-2 years of experience as a barista or in a similar food & beverage role

Solid knowledge of espresso-based and manual brewing methods

Barista certification and/or latte art skills are an advantage

Basic knowledge of food hygiene and safety practices; a food handling certificate is a plus

Willingness to work shifts, weekends and public holidays as required

Excellent customer service and communication skills

Strong attention to detail and consistency in beverage quality

Ability to multitask and stay composed under pressure during peak hours

Willingness to guide and support junior baristas as needed

Reliable, punctual and proactive problem-solver

Prepare beverages according to standard recipes

Operate coffee machines, grinders and related equipment correctly

Ensure consistency in taste, presentation and quality

Greet customers politely and take orders accurately

Answer customer inquiries regarding menu items

Handle customer feedback or complaints professionally

Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, machines, tools and workstations

Perform daily opening and closing cleaning duties

Comply with food safety, hygiene and sanitation standards

Monitor stock levels of coffee beans, milk, syrups and bar supplies

Assist with stock rotation and replenishment

Report low stock or equipment issues to supervisors

Follow recipe standards without deviation unless approved by Supervisor/Manager

Immediately report any product quality issues (taste, texture, temperature, presentation)

Ensure drinks served meet brand standards before handover to customer

Communicate clearly with team members during service to ensure smooth operations

Report incidents, mistakes, or operational issues immediately to Supervisor or Manager

Escalate unresolved customer issues promptly

Report to work on time and follow assigned schedules

Adhere to company policies, SOPs and workplace rules

Maintain professional appearance, teamwork and a positive attitude
