8. Willing to work overtime or shifts when required.

9. Basic computer or SAP knowledge is an added advantage.

1. Job Purpose

To operate forklifts safely and efficiently to support daily factory operations, including the movement, loading, unloading, storage, and delivery of raw materials, work-in-progress (WIP), finished goods, and other materials. Ensure timely material supply to production, accurate material handling, and compliance with company safety procedures.

2. Key Responsibilities

A. Forklift Operation & Material Handling

• Operate forklifts safely to load, unload, move, stack, and transfer raw materials, WIP, finished goods, and other factory materials.

• Transport materials between the warehouse, production lines, loading and unloading bays, and designated storage areas.

• Ensure materials are handled properly to prevent damage, loss, contamination, or accidents.

• Verify material labels, quantities, and destination locations before moving or storing materials.

• Ensure materials are stacked securely and stored according to designated locations and stacking requirements.

B. Production Support

• Deliver raw materials and components to production lines according to production schedules and material requests.

• Support the timely movement of WIP and finished goods between production processes and designated storage areas.

• Coordinate with production and warehouse personnel to ensure uninterrupted material flow.

• Promptly report material shortages, incorrect deliveries, damaged goods, and other operational issues to the supervisor.

C. Warehouse & Inventory Control

• Assist with receiving, issuing, transferring, and organizing materials.

• Support stocktaking and physical inventory verification when required.

• Ensure materials are moved to the correct storage locations and inventory records are updated according to established procedures.

• Follow FIFO (First-In, First-Out) or FEFO (First-Expired, First-Out), where applicable.

• Maintain proper housekeeping in warehouse areas, aisles, loading bays, and material storage locations.

D. Equipment Inspection & Maintenance

• Conduct pre-operation forklift inspections, including brakes, tyres, forks, hydraulic systems, warning devices, lights, and other safety features.

• Complete daily forklift inspection checklists and report defects or abnormalities immediately.

• Ensure the forklift is parked safely, switched off, and secured after use.

• Keep the forklift clean and in good operating condition.

• Do not operate defective equipment or perform unauthorized repairs.

E. Safety & Compliance

• Comply with company EHS policies, forklift operating procedures, traffic rules, and workplace safety requirements.

• Wear the required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.

• Observe speed limits, pedestrian safety rules, load capacity limits, and designated forklift routes.

• Ensure loads are stable, properly positioned, and within the forklift's rated capacity before transportation.

• Report accidents, near misses, unsafe conditions, and equipment malfunctions immediately.

• Attend required safety briefings, forklift competency assessments, and refresher training.

F. Other Duties

• Assist with general warehouse and factory operational activities as assigned by the supervisor.

• Support internal and external audits by following established material handling and safety procedures.

• Perform other reasonable duties related to factory operations as assigned by the superior.

3. Job Requirements

• Minimum SPM or equivalent qualification; relevant working experience may be considered.

• Valid forklift operator competency certification, licence, or authorization as required by applicable Malaysian regulations and company procedures.

• Previous experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or logistics environment is preferred.

• Basic understanding of warehouse operations, material identification, and inventory handling.

• Ability to read material labels, follow work instructions, and complete basic operational records.

• Basic computer or SAP system knowledge is an advantage.

• Physically fit to perform operational duties and able to work in a factory environment.

• Willing to work overtime or shifts when required.

• Responsible, safety-conscious, disciplined, and able to work independently or as part of a team.

4. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

1. Safety Compliance: Zero preventable forklift accidents and compliance with all forklift safety procedures.

2. Material Delivery: At least 98% of assigned material movements completed on time, subject to agreed operational targets.

3. Material Handling Accuracy: At least 99% accuracy in material identification, quantity, and destination.

4. Equipment Inspection: 100% completion of required daily forklift inspection checklists.

5. Material Damage: Minimize material damage and losses caused by improper handling.

6. Housekeeping: Maintain compliance with warehouse 5S and housekeeping standards.

7. Attendance & Discipline: Meet company attendance requirements and comply with workplace rules.
