Role Description The Equipment Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Petaling Jaya. This role is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing automation and heavy equipment used in assembly and production processes. Day-to-day tasks include performing routine and preventive maintenance, diagnosing and troubleshooting equipment issues, and supporting equipment upgrades or modifications. The Equipment Technician will document maintenance activities, follow safety and quality standards, and collaborate closely with engineers, service teams, and customers to ensure equipment reliability and minimal downtime.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong skills in Equipment Maintenance and Preventive Maintenance to ensure reliable operation and long equipment life.
• Candidates should possess solid Troubleshooting skills to diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control system faults efficiently.
• Candidates should possess experience working with Heavy Equipment and automated machinery in industrial or manufacturing environments.
• Candidates should possess clear and professional Communication skills for coordinating with internal teams, suppliers, and customers.
• Relevant technical diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or related engineering field is preferred.
• Ability to read technical drawings, equipment manuals, and basic electrical schematics is beneficial.
• Comfort with using diagnostic tools, hand tools, and measurement instruments in a shop or production floor setting.
• Commitment to safety, quality standards, and continuous improvement, with the ability to work independently and in a team.
