• Minimum SPM or equivalent; a diploma is an advantage

We’re looking for a friendly, presentable, trustworthy Retail Assistant to join our jewellery showroom team in central Kuala Lumpur. You’ll be the first person our customers meet, helping them find the perfect piece for life’s special moments, from engagement rings to gifts and everyday pieces. You’ll support the smooth running of the showroom, take care of our valuable products, and help the team reach its sales and service goals.

This role suits someone who enjoys meeting people, takes pride in good service, and wants to build a career in the luxury and jewellery retail industry. Full product training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service & Sales

• Greet every customer warmly and create a welcoming, comfortable shopping experience
• Understand each customer’s needs, budget and occasion, and recommend suitable jewellery pieces
• Explain product details clearly, including materials, gold purity, gemstones, craftsmanship, pricing, promotions and after-sales services
• Work towards individual and showroom sales targets
• Build lasting relationships with customers and encourage repeat visits
• Handle enquiries, exchanges and feedback professionally, escalating to the supervisor when needed
• Process sales transactions accurately and assist with packaging and gift wrapping

Product Care & Display

• Handle all jewellery with care, following proper procedures when showing, cleaning and storing items
• Keep display cases neat, attractive and fully stocked in line with visual merchandising guidelines
• Keep the showroom clean, organised and presentable at all times

Stock & Operations

• Assist with receiving stock, tagging and daily, weekly and monthly stock counts
• Help with opening and closing duties, including placing and removing jewellery from displays and safes
• Keep simple sales and stock records accurate and up to date

Security & Compliance

• Follow all store security procedures, including keeping display cases locked and showing items one at a time
• Stay alert to suspicious behaviour and report any security concerns immediately
• Follow company policies, standard operating procedures and cash-handling guidelines
