We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Senior Commissioning Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will lead commissioning activities for data center and semiconductor projects, from installation through testing and final handover. You will work closely with project managers, contractors and clients, and guide junior engineers to ensure project requirements and operational goals are met.

The ideal candidate has strong technical expertise and proven commissioning experience. You should be comfortable taking ownership in a fast-paced project environment, with a proactive attitude, attention to detail and excellent communication skills.

This position provides valuable exposure to industry standards and commissioning best practices, while working closely with clients to ensure project requirements and operational goals are met.

Senior Commissioning Engineer

Responsibilities

·       Lead and manage the commissioning process for assigned systems, from installation to final handover;

·       Develop and implement commissioning plans and strategies to meet project goals and client expectations;

·       Communicate with various stakeholders to complete the commissioning process.

·       Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to define commissioning scope, schedule, and objectives;

·       Conduct risk assessments and develop contingency plans to address potential issues during commissioning;

·       Review and analyze project documentation, specifications, and drawings to ensure proper equipment installation and functionality;

·       Oversee the testing and verification of all systems, equipment, and components to confirm they meet design and performance standards;

·       Maintain clear and concise documentation of commissioning activities, including test procedures, reports, and issues resolution

·       Identify and resolve technical issues, discrepancies, and deficiencies that arise during commissioning;

·       Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards during commissioning activities;

·       Provide technical leadership, guidance and mentoring to junior engineers, on-site personnel and subcontractors;

·       Participate in client meetings to report progress, address concerns, and obtain feedback; fulfill requirements and tasks within given timeline by clients, commissioning authority, general contractor and its commissioning management/agent and corresponding contractor we are having contract with.

·       Review test procedures and reports and prepare commissioning reports and handover documentation for project closeout.

·       Read and study drawings, specifications, commissioning plans, test plan or test script given by commissioning authority, design intent and SOO/DOO (sequence of operation/ description of operation). Generate test plans for CxL1, CxL2 and CxL3 for commissioning procedures. Criteria set in the MOS/test plans shall be aligned with the design intent, drawings, specification, commissioning plans and SOO/DOO.

·       Communicate and negotiate with Client, commissioning consultant/authority and General Contractor’s Commissioning Agent/Management to arrange plans for inspection, to close issues raised and logged in Commissioning platform (Compass, CxAlloy etc.)

·       Lead and perform the test with junior engineers for CxL1, CxL2 and CxL3 and support the inspection for CxL4 and CxL5.

·       Write daily/weekly reports for the activities conducted and planning for on-going project.

Qualifications:

·      Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.

·       3-5 years working experience in engineering firm/ contractor/or manufacturer.

·       Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities;

·       Self-initiative and good reporting.

·       Able to prioritize and work well under pressure to meet strict deadlines;

·       Experience supervising or mentoring junior team members is an advantage;

·       Experience in data center, semiconductor or other mission-critical projects is an advantage;

·       High level of integrity drives and result oriented;

·       Good proficiency in English (Written and Spoken).
