What you'll do:

As a Mechanical Engineer based in Petaling Jaya, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality mechanical design packages for critical infrastructure projects. Your day-to-day activities will involve collaborating with multidisciplinary teams across various regions, ensuring that every aspect of mechanical design-from initial concept through testing and commissioning-is executed with precision. You will be responsible for providing technical guidance at every stage of the project lifecycle, supporting both factory engineers and subcontracting staff. • Produce comprehensive Issued For Construction drawing packages that meet project requirements and industry standards for critical cooling solutions.
• Sustain engineering efforts by maintaining current production designs and implementing improvements based on feedback from cross-functional teams.
• Review detailed Mechanical Bills of Quantities to ensure accuracy and alignment with project specifications for data centre installations.
• Provide clear technical guidance to factory engineers, subcontractors, project managers, quality assurance teams, safety engineers, and procurement staff throughout all project phases.
• Develop thorough testing and commissioning documents that support seamless installation and operational readiness of mechanical systems.
• Collaborate with local and regional engineering teams to share best practices, resolve challenges efficiently, and deliver successful outcomes for infrastructure projects.
• Support manufacturing tests by debugging, validating, and developing procedures related to cooling and ventilation systems for data centres.
• Document functional requirements clearly and maintain up-to-date design records using tools such as Revit or similar software.
