Develop, modify, and maintain programs for wire harness manufacturing machines.
Ensure machine programs are properly controlled, documented, and backed up.
Troubleshoot programming and machine parameter-related issues.
Convert product requirements into appropriate machine programs and process parameters.
Conduct machine trials and validation for new products.
Prepare machine programs and production data before SOP.
Optimize machine programs to improve cycle time, machine utilization, productivity, and process stability.
Reduce machine downtime, setup time, material waste, and production losses.
Conduct program reviews and identify opportunities for automation and process improvement.
Work closely with Maintenance and machine suppliers to resolve equipment problems.
Identify root causes and implement permanent corrective actions.
Implement appropriate error-proofing and parameter controls.
Investigate machine-related quality defects and implement corrective actions.
Support emergency troubleshooting to minimize production downtime.
Provide technical support to Production during machine setup, model changeover, and mass production.
Train operators and technicians on machine operation, program selection, setup, and basic troubleshooting.
Perform any other duties and responsibilities assigned by HOD from time to time
Competency
Diploma or Degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Automation Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
2–5 years of relevant experience in machine programming, automation, manufacturing engineering, or wire harness production.
Experience with wire processing machines and automatic crimping equipment is highly preferred.
Experience in PLC/HMI programming or machine automation is an advantage.
Experience in automotive wire harness manufacturing is preferred.
Experience with NPI, production launch, process validation, and PPAP is an advantage.
