Senior Planner (Production Planning & Control) - Mandarin Speaking

Location: Bandar Parklands, Klang
Salary: RM5,000 – RM7,000 per month

Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior Planner Executive to oversee end-to-end production planning and scheduling within a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for optimizing production capacity, ensuring material availability, maintaining appropriate inventory levels, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to achieve production targets and on-time delivery.

The ideal candidate has strong analytical and problem-solving skills, hands-on experience with ERP/MRP systems, and the ability to guide junior planning team members.

Key Responsibilities

• Production Planning & Scheduling: Develop, review, and optimize daily, weekly, and long-term production plans based on customer demand, production capacity, and delivery requirements.
• Capacity & Resource Planning: Allocate manpower, machinery, and materials effectively to maximize production efficiency and minimize bottlenecks.
• Demand & Material Planning: Coordinate demand forecasts, material requirements, and inventory levels to prevent stock shortages and excess inventory.
• Cross-Functional Coordination: Work closely with Procurement, Production, Quality, Logistics, and Sales teams to align production schedules and ensure timely order fulfillment.
• Sales & Operations Execution (S&OE): Translate operational plans into short-term production schedules and adjust plans according to changing priorities.
• Performance Monitoring: Track production KPIs, identify capacity constraints and operational gaps, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Problem Solving: Resolve production delays, material shortages, scheduling conflicts, and other operational challenges.
• Team Leadership: Guide, mentor, and support junior planning executives to improve team performance and productivity.
• Reporting & Forecasting: Prepare production reports, capacity analyses, inventory updates, and forecasts for management review.
• Quality, Safety & Compliance: Support compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, occupational safety requirements, and the company's Quality Management System (QMS) and Environmental Management System (EMS).

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Production Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• 5–8 years of relevant experience in production planning, production control, or supply chain operations within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Proven experience in end-to-end production planning, including demand forecasting, production scheduling, material planning, and capacity management.
• Hands-on experience with ERP/MRP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics.
• Good understanding of manufacturing workflows, inventory control, and supply chain management principles.
• Experience coordinating with multiple departments to resolve production and material planning issues.
• Previous experience mentoring junior team members or leading planning activities is preferred.
• Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Able to manage changing priorities, meet deadlines, and make timely operational decisions.
