JOB SCOPE

We are looking for a creative and hands-on (Jr Digital Content Executive – Video) to support MYDIN’s digital and social media content. The role is responsible for planning, shooting, editing and publishing engaging video content across MYDIN’s social channels. The ideal candidate should understand social media trends, have strong storytelling skills and be comfortable using both traditional video production tools and AI-enabled creative tools to produce content efficiently.

DUTIES & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

· Plan, shoot and edit engaging video content for MYDIN’s social media platforms including TikTok, YouTube, Instagram and Facebook.

· Manage the video production process including camera setup, lighting, sound, editing, basic motion graphics and post-production.

· Develop storyboards, shot lists and content ideas together with the Digital, Marketing, Creative and Brand teams.

· Manage and coordinate the content shooting calendar, including store shoots, campaigns, events, corporate and brand collaborations.

· Edit content according to the requirements and format of each social platform, including short-form, vertical and long-form video.

· Schedule and publish assigned content according to the approved content calendar.

· Perform regular platform health checks including uploads, thumbnails, captions, playlists, links, video quality and basic channel housekeeping for platforms such as TikTok and YouTube.

· Monitor social media and video trends and propose relevant content ideas for MYDIN.

· Use AI creative tools where appropriate for ideation, scripting, storyboarding, visual generation, subtitles, voice, editing and content enhancement while maintaining MYDIN brand standards.

· Work with internal teams, brands and partners to develop video concepts and campaign content.

· Maintain proper organisation and storage of raw footage, edited files and digital assets.

· Support coverage of MYDIN campaigns, launches, events and store activities.

· Be available for occasional weekend or after-hours shoots/events when required.

· Be willing to travel to MYDIN outlets or event locations when required.

· Carry out other digital/content-related duties assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

· Minimum SPM/STPM/Certificate; Diploma in Multimedia, Film, Digital Media, Communications, Marketing or a related field is an advantage.

· Preferably 1-2 years of experience in video production, digital content or social media.

· Proficient in tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, CapCut or similar editing software.

· Experience using cameras, lighting and audio equipment.

· Good understanding of TikTok, YouTube, Instagram Reels and Facebook video formats.

· Familiarity with AI-based creative/content tools is an advantage.

· Strong storytelling and creative thinking skills.

· Able to translate an idea or campaign brief into a storyboard and final video.

· Comfortable working independently as well as collaboratively with different teams and stakeholders.

· Strong time management with the ability to manage multiple shoots and editing deadlines.

· Willing to learn, experiment and keep up with new digital/content trends.
