Senior System Engineer (Linux)

Location: Petaling Jaya, Selangor

We are looking for a Senior System Engineer (Linux) to manage and support Linux servers across on-premise, VMware, AWS, and private cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer and maintain RHEL and Amazon Linux servers.
• Perform server installation, patching, upgrades, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Manage Linux services such as DNS, NTP, SSH, certificates, and storage.
• Support AWS and private cloud infrastructure.
• Implement automation using Bash, Python, Ansible, or AWS Systems Manager.
• Handle security hardening, vulnerability remediation, and compliance activities.
• Support backup, disaster recovery, and high-availability environments.
• Maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and operational reports.

Requirements:

• 3-6 years of Linux system administration experience.
• Strong experience with RHEL and/or Amazon Linux.
• Experience with AWS, VMware, and monitoring tools (Grafana, Prometheus, CloudWatch).
• Knowledge of Linux security, backup, disaster recovery, and automation.
• Experience with Bash, Python, or Ansible is preferred.
• RHCSA/RHCE, AWS, VMware, or ITIL certifications are an advantage.

Note: On-call and after-hours support may be required for critical system activities.
