Software Engineering Intern (Full-Stack Web Development)

About the Role

We're looking for a Software Engineering Intern who is curious, enjoys solving problems, and is ready to take on new engineering challenges.

You'll work closely with our founder, who brings over six years of software engineering experience, including enterprise system integrations for Fortune 500 companies.

This is an opportunity to gain hands-on experience across the software development lifecycle, contribute to real products, and understand how technology solutions are built for businesses.

What You'll Do

• Develop and improve web applications, frontend interfaces, APIs, and backend services.
• Contribute to projects involving business systems, automation, and AI.
• Work with modern development tools, frameworks, and databases.
• Participate in technical discussions, debugging, testing, and code reviews.
• Learn how software is designed, developed, deployed, and maintained.
• Collaborate with the team to understand requirements and deliver practical solutions.
• Take increasing ownership of tasks and features as your skills develop.

What We're Looking For

• Currently pursuing a diploma or degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Basic programming knowledge, preferably JavaScript or TypeScript.
• Familiarity with web development concepts, APIs, and databases.
• Strong willingness to learn, experiment, and tackle unfamiliar challenges.
• Ability to think logically, solve problems, and communicate when help is needed.
• A responsible attitude towards work, deadlines, and continuous improvement.

Experience with React, Next.js, Node.js, Git, or similar technologies is an advantage, but not required.

We value curiosity, initiative, and the ability to learn more than an impressive résumé.

Working Arrangement

• Location: Kota Damansara IOI mall, Petaling Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia.
• Workplace: Hybrid, with scheduled in-person collaboration and mentorship.
• Working hours: Flexible, with agreed availability during regular working days.
• Duration: Preferably at least 3 months.
• Equipment: BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) is preferred initially, with flexibility based on the candidate's circumstances and project requirements. Equipment arrangements can be discussed and reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
