Salary: Up to RM7,000 per month (depending on experience)

We are seeking an experienced PHP Developer to join a project within the publishing industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing web-based applications while ensuring functionality, performance, and reliability. The ideal candidate should have solid hands-on PHP development experience, strong problem-solving abilities, and the ability to work effectively within a project-based environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance web applications using PHP.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code in accordance with development standards.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues.
• Collaborate with team members and relevant stakeholders to understand project requirements.
• Perform application testing and debugging to ensure functionality and performance.
• Integrate APIs and third-party services where required.
• Maintain and improve existing systems and application features.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical improvements.
• Ensure project deliverables are completed within the agreed timelines.

Requirements

• Minimum 3–5 years of solid hands-on experience in PHP development.
• Strong proficiency in PHP programming.
• Good understanding of web development technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and SQL.
• Experience working with databases such as MySQL or other relational databases.
• Familiarity with PHP frameworks such as Laravel, CodeIgniter, or Symfony is an advantage.
• Understanding of REST APIs and web application development.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently and collaboratively within a development team.

Additional Information

• This is a project-based, 6-month contract position.
• Work arrangement is fully onsite in Petaling Jaya.
• Candidates who can commence within November 2026 are highly preferred.
• Immediate availability or short notice period is an advantage.

Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM7,000.00 per month
