About Delta Electronics

DELTA is looking for a Building Management System Engineer beyond design and maintenance work. This will be a 5-day work (non-hybrid) and will require you to drive to Cyberjaya on assignment and project basis. The office is based in Damansara Uptown with working hours of 730AM to 430PM*.

We prioritize talent who are able to integrate multiple critical infrastructure systems into a centralized BMS platform and validate that they communicate and function correctly. Contact ************* you are confident in:

Daily Responsibiltiies

A. BMS Engineering & System Design

• Develop, review and validate BMS architecture, system configurations, control philosophies, control logic, I/O schedules and points lists in accordance with project specifications.
• Review BMS technical drawings, electrical schematics, control diagrams, network topology and equipment integration requirements.
• Define communication and integration requirements between BMS platforms and third-party equipment.
• Ensure that BMS design and configurations comply with project requirements, applicable engineering standards and client specifications.
• Identify technical gaps, integration constraints and potential system compatibility issues during the engineering phase.

B. Data Centre Infrastructure Integration

• Configure, integrate and validate BMS interfaces with critical data centre infrastructure, including:
• Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems.
• Lithium-ion battery monitoring systems.
• Precision cooling and in-row cooling units.
• Chillers, pumps and HVAC equipment, where included in project scope.
• Power meters and electrical monitoring devices.
• Environmental monitoring systems, including temperature, humidity and leak detection.
• Fire alarm systems through approved monitoring interfaces.
• Data Centre Infrastructure Management (DCIM) and Energy Management Systems (EMS), where applicable.
• Establish and troubleshoot communication interfaces using industrial protocols such as Modbus RTU, Modbus TCP/IP, BACnet/IP and SNMP.
• Verify data mapping, equipment status, alarms, monitoring points and communication integrity between field devices and the BMS platform.
• Coordinate with OEMs and third-party system integrators to ensure successful equipment-level integration.

C. Testing & Commissioning

• Execute and coordinate BMS pre-commissioning, functional testing and site commissioning activities.
• Conduct I/O verification, point-to-point testing, communication testing and alarm validation.
• Participate in Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) and Integrated Systems Testing (IST).
• Verify BMS monitoring points, control sequences, alarm thresholds, equipment status and system response against approved design documentation.
• Support integrated testing of critical data centre systems, including cooling, power monitoring and environmental monitoring interfaces.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, networking, communication and integration issues during commissioning.
• Coordinate testing schedules, technical rectification and closure of commissioning defects with project stakeholders.
• Support customer witness testing and ensure all test results are properly recorded.

D. Project Coordination & Technical Documentation

• Work closely with project managers, electrical and mechanical engineering teams, OEMs, subcontractors and client representatives to ensure timely project execution.
• Monitor technical progress of BMS installation, configuration, integration and commissioning activities.
• Review technical submissions, method statements, testing procedures and equipment integration documentation.
• Prepare and maintain commissioning reports, test records, technical documentation, operation manuals and as-built drawings.
• Track technical issues, outstanding defects and corrective actions through to closure.
• Provide technical support during project handover and, where required, post-deployment troubleshooting.

Technical Competencies

• Strong working knowledge of BMS architecture, control systems, I/O configuration, points mapping and system integration.
• Hands-on experience with Modbus RTU, Modbus TCP/IP, BACnet/IP and/or SNMP communication protocols.
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics, control drawings, I/O schedules and network architecture diagrams.
• Understanding of data centre critical infrastructure, particularly UPS, precision cooling, power monitoring and environmental monitoring systems.
• Familiarity with IP networking, device addressing, gateways and communication troubleshooting.
• Practical experience in FAT, SAT, point-to-point testing and commissioning documentation.
• Ability to independently diagnose and resolve technical integration and communication issues.
