We are seeking an experienced Programme Coordinator cum Lecturer – Paramedic to manage and coordinate the Paramedic programme while contributing to teaching, student supervision and academic activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the overall academic delivery and administration of the Paramedic programme.
- Teach Paramedic, Emergency Medical Services, Pre-Hospital Care and related subjects.
- Coordinate curriculum delivery, teaching schedules, assessments and student academic activities.
- Monitor students' academic performance, progression and clinical training.
- Coordinate clinical placements with hospitals, ambulance services, emergency medical services and other healthcare partners.
- Ensure compliance with MQA, University and relevant professional/regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate programme accreditation, programme review, academic audits and quality assurance activities.
- Maintain programme documentation and ensure academic records are complete and up to date.
- Coordinate lecturers and clinical instructors involved in programme delivery.
- Participate in curriculum development and continuous programme improvement.
- Supervise students' academic projects, research and clinical activities where applicable.
- Participate in research, publications and scholarly activities.
- Support student recruitment, programme promotion and Faculty/University activities.
Requirements
- Must possess a PhD in Paramedic Science, Emergency Medical Services, Emergency Care, Pre-Hospital Care, Health Sciences with relevant specialisation, or a closely related field.
- Must have prior experience as a Head of Programme, Programme Coordinator, Programme Leader or equivalent academic leadership role.
- Must have relevant academic and/or clinical experience in Paramedicine, Emergency Medical Services, Pre-Hospital Care or Emergency Care.
- Experience in teaching at university or higher education level is required.
- Experience in programme management, curriculum delivery, assessment and student supervision.
- Experience in MQA accreditation, programme review, academic audit and quality assurance is highly preferred.
- Experience coordinating clinical placements and working with hospitals, ambulance services or healthcare providers will be an advantage.
- Strong leadership, communication, organisational and stakeholder-management skills.
- Must meet applicable professional registration and regulatory requirements relevant to the programme.
