Purpose of the Role

As a Collection Officer, you will communicate with customers to follow up on overdue payments, negotiate suitable repayment plans, and ensure timely collections while maintaining positive customer relationships. This role also provides hands-on experience in Collections, Credit Management & Negotiation, with the opportunity to progress to a Team Lead position based on performance.

Job Details

Location: Subang Jaya
Basic Salary: RM1,800/month
KPI Incentive: Up to 7%
Working Days: 5 days/week
Working Hours: 9 hours/day (including 1-hour break)
Contract: 6 months + opportunity to convert to permanent
Training: Provided

Job Requirements

• SPM holders must have relevant collection experience.

• Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Banking, Accounting, Collection, or related disciplines.

• Minimum 2 years of experience in collections, credit control, debt recovery, or customer service.

• Experience in rent-to-own, financing, leasing, insurance, telecommunications, or consumer products industry is an advantage.

• Strong negotiation and persuasion skills.

• Strong problem-solving abilities.

• Contact customers via phone calls, SMS, WhatsApp, and email to follow up on overdue payments.

• Negotiate suitable payment solutions and repayment plans with customers.

• Maintain accurate records of customer contacts, payment commitments, promises-to-pay, and case updates.

• Identify and escalate high-risk accounts to the Field & Recovery team when necessary.

• Ensure compliance with internal company policies, collection procedures, PDPA requirements, and code of conduct.
