Role Description The Senior Electrical Design Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Shah Alam. This role is responsible for designing and developing electrical systems for industrial UPS solutions, including power distribution architectures, equipment specifications, and detailed schematics. The Senior Electrical Design Engineer collaborates with cross-functional teams to review project requirements, perform technical calculations and simulations, prepare documentation, and ensure compliance with relevant standards and customer specifications. Daily activities include supporting project engineering, guiding junior engineers, participating in design reviews, and providing technical input during manufacturing, testing, and commissioning. The role also involves troubleshooting design issues, implementing design improvements, and contributing to continuous enhancement of Gutor’s product portfolio.

Qualifications

• Strong background in Electrical Engineering with practical understanding of Electricity and industrial power systems.
• Proficiency in Electrical Design and Design Engineering for complex, industrial-grade equipment.
• Experience with Power Distribution design, including system layout, protection coordination, and load analysis.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
• Experience in industrial UPS, power conversion, or related heavy electrical equipment is highly beneficial.
• Familiarity with international electrical standards and codes (e.g., IEC, IEEE) and relevant safety regulations.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills, with attention to detail and quality.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with experience working in multidisciplinary and multicultural teams.
• Ability to work on-site in Shah Alam and support project activities in manufacturing and testing environments.
