Key Responsibilities

• Act as the main day-to-day contact for an assigned portfolio of clients.
• Build trusted, long-term relationships through regular check-ins, meetings and clear communication.
• Take client briefs, clarify objectives, and translate them into clear internal briefs for the creative and production teams.
• Present work, gather feedback, and manage expectations on scope, timelines and budgets.
• Handle concerns and difficult conversations calmly, and escalate early when needed.
• Spot opportunities to grow existing accounts with new projects or services.
• Plan and run projects from brief to final delivery, including timelines, resources and milestones.
• Prepare quotations and scopes of work, and track project budgets against them.
• Manage change requests and additional scope, keeping clients and the team aligned in writing.
• Keep project status, files and approvals up to date in the studio's task management system.
• Coordinate with external partners and suppliers (e.g. production crews, printers, media vendors) where required.
• Set realistic deadlines with clients and the team, and make sure they are met.
• Track progress daily, flag risks early and adjust plans before deadlines slip.
• Run quality checks so work matches the brief and brand guidelines before it reaches the client.
• Secure client approvals and sign-offs at each stage.
• Work closely with creative directors, designers, copywriters, producers and developers.
• Delegate tasks clearly, with defined owners, deliverables and due dates.
• Balance workloads across the team and raise resourcing issues with management.
• Lead internal kick-offs, status meetings and project wrap-ups.
• Support a positive, accountable team culture and share lessons learned after each project.

Qualifications

Must have

• Diploma or degree in Marketing, Advertising, Mass Communication, Business or a related field.
• At least 3 years in client servicing or account management, ideally at a creative, advertising, digital or production agency.
• Proven experience running several projects at once and delivering on time and within budget.
• Strong written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin is an advantage.
• Confident communicator who can present ideas and handle client pushback professionally.
• Highly organised, detail-oriented and calm under pressure.
• Comfortable leading and delegating to a multi-disciplinary team.

Nice to have

• Experience with clients in property development, hospitality, F&B or FMCG.
• Familiarity with video production, digital campaigns or website projects.
• Working knowledge of project management tools and Google Workspace or Microsoft Office.
• Own transport for client meetings and shoots.

The Accounts Manager is the client's main point of contact, responsible for maintaining client relationships, running projects from brief to delivery, managing timelines and budgets, delegating work, and ensuring high-quality delivery.
