Technical Product Management

Role Overview & Objective

We are looking for an analytical, proactive, and tech-savvy intern to join our Functional Test team for a 6-month engagement.

The primary objective of this internship is to eliminate repetitive manual reporting overheads by designing and implementing automated workflow solutions. Currently, multiple tests leads across various derivatives streams compile and send weekly status reports manually via email. The intern will build automated ingestion and aggregation workflows to process these email reports, extract key test metrics, and publish automated, consolidated updates directly to confluence page dashboards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Workflow & Reporting Automation (Primary Focus)

• Email Ingestion & Parsing: Develop automated scripts/agents (using internal tools) to capture, parse, and validate structured/semi-structured weekly test status emails submitted by domain test leads.
• Portfolio & Dashboard Synchronization: Implement automated integration routines (via Atlassian Confluence/Jira REST APIs) to seamlessly update the confluence pages with real-time test execution progress, defect metrics, blocker summaries, and milestone delivery dates.
• Executive Summary Generation: Create automated report generators or lightweight dashboard views that synthesize multi-track derivatives test results into executive-ready weekly digests.

2. Functional Testing & QA Operations Support

• Test Design & Execution Assistance: Assist functional QAs and test leads with the execution of regression test suites, smoke tests, and interface verifications across designated derivatives test environments.
• Defect Lifecycle Management: Assist in logging, triaging, and tracking defects in Jira/ALM, ensuring complete requirements-to-test traceability.
• Process Documentation: Maintain technical documentation, user guides, and architecture diagrams for all automation scripts and workflows deployed during the internship to ensure seamless handover to the team.

3. Final Project Presentation

• Consolidate metrics demonstrating time saved, error rate reduction, and reporting cycle acceleration achieved through the automated portfolio solution.
• Present the end-to-end automated solution and key learning takeaways to the QA leadership team prior to conclusion of the internship.
